The shepherd 260 biometric fingerprint(thumbprint) Mortise lock combines fingerprint ID with a keypad system. The product allows regular users to have theirs fingerprints programmed.  For the short-term visitors, individual pass-codes could be given to them to be punched in for temporary access.  Afterwards, their individual codes can be deleted.  There are no mechanical keys to be distributed lost or duplicated. The shepherd 260 Fingerprint Recognition Mortise lock system is excellent for the residential home or commercial office. The Mortise is European standard (It is good for new door).
